vintage button necklace
new vintage button necklace....i LOVE this button. it came out of a broken down house in IL that my quirky and amazingly inventive uncle rehabbed. when he bought the place it was left with a mountain of junk in it. a giant metal tin of buttons was one of the rad things he salvaged. my nieces and my nephew all sat around with me me staring and picking through the tin on the floor at my parents place and we all picked out our favorites. as you might imagine i brought quite the stash home. :)

red coral engagement ring
14kt white gold palladium engagement ring with a coiled style and accented with a tiny red coral cabochon. i really loved making this ring. it was a special order commission piece designed after a ring made out of an antenna. the gal had dreamed her guy had proposed with a ring he had made out of an antenna. sooooo, he did!!! :) he later contacted me with pictures to do a very similar version in white gold palladium with a red coral accent :)))) such a fun project and beautiful story.
double stone rings...
double stone found coral and mother of pearl button ring. the little button is from my late grandma fisher's button stash. i have vivid memories of sitting at her kitchen table and sifting thru her button tin. she didn't think they were anything special but i felt like it was christmas morning that she let me put a little keep pile together. she would always greet me with, "well, jaime jo!!!!" when i would walk in her front door. i could hear the joy in her voice to see me. she taught me how to quilt when they were still living on the farm (now my parents place). love and miss you gram.

all of these earrings above are made with these amazing glass beads hand made in ghana by indigenous folks that have done it for many many years. they are made of crushed glass bottles. they have an old world feel to them unlike commercial beads. i love them so much. more colors coming soon.
