we scored a big piece of faux grass from our friend jade after she took her installation piece down. we are using it on the deck but if i could i would put it over all of our grass so we could have bright green “grass” all year round while still conserving water. it’s a win-win.
i love chandeliers, but a traditional one wouldn’t work so well in our house. THEN, i found this one made of wood. i might need to buy this and spray paint it chartreuse (to match our 1/4 round trim) and find that special place for it :O)

eating a meal from a dish that is carefully considered and cultivated into a functional piece of art is a daily experience i much enjoy. i have been collecting pots since i was in school at SIUE, but my affinity for the process and result came at a very young age. (think silver dollar city). my folks had to drag me away from the fella demonstrating. the real point to this slightly related story….

yes, he’s my husband, but i’m only biased because it’s GOOD!! go see it 
today, i turn 33. WOOT!! i will spend the day celebrating with a coffee, a little studio work, a trip to the gem and mineral show, dinner with chris and close friends (which chris is scheming on the phone in the garage about now). if i can squeeze in a yoga class + kombucha, watch a movie on the couch and a little nap that would complete a very happy birthday. yay!!
