the "ovoid acid green polyp earrings" are made with oxidized sterling silver, glass beads and filament. the glass beads are acid green in color. the polyp earrings are a take on the idea of wearable and modern version of a chandelier. the movement of these while wearing is such a beautiful thing. the truly special functional aspect of these earrings is the catch for the earwire. the earwire ends just where it should right in down into a small piece of tubing opposite of where the wire begins. the ear wire is work hardened so they can be put on and off by gently moving the wire in and out of the tubing without distorting the shape. these are just right in every way and are one of my favorites.

these earrings are all hand fabricated by me using raw material of sterling silver. they are soldered, drilled, sanded, manipulated, oxidized and sanded again to bring back some of the sterling visible to the surface. i then thread on the beads and secure them in place with filament all in my studio in austin, tx.
